This depicts construction of a waste storage stacking facility in the town of Mt. Morris. The facility can be used year round if needed, but the size (54’ x 30’ x 4’) was determined by the number of cattle and the amount of time they will be on pasture. It was designed for 26 animal units (steer) for 90 days (100% on lot). The waste will be land spread in the Spring and used as fertilizer, helping to protect groundwater in the sands. The land conservation department designed and cost shared the project.
